Either free wifi in a public area or if you really want, disable WPA on your home network temporarily to make it an open network. The next easiest way after a phone hotspot is to just use an open network. However, some parts of the game require online services that of course are no longer accessible because of WFC's closing. Unless you play online often, it's probably not worth the effort to buy a router for your DS. I have been playing pokemon pearl and I am so close to 100% completion.
